Ishwara (Neil Pendlebury) teaches Yoga and Meditation classes and retreats in South Cumbria. Ishwara is guided by the enlightened teachings and lives of Swami Sivananda Saraswati of Rishekesh and his disciple Swami Vishnu Devananda.Ishwara teaches from the heart. His path is to facilitate the sharing of classical Hatha and Tantra Yoga practices.

'Neil Pendlebury (Ishwara) began his Yoga and Meditation practice in London 1991 and practiced many of the Hatha Yoga's such as Kundalini, Ashtanga, Shadow, Iyengar and Sivananda Yoga until leaving for the Lake District in 2002/3.

Prior to Yoga Neil was a keep fit enthusiastic. Football, athletics, road running, cycling, badminton and mountaineering were all engaged in enthusiastically.

Turning 30 Neil wished for a more cerebral and holistic aspect to fitness, a desire to understand the causal nature of mind and emotions and an interest in exploring eastern philosophy.

All of these things brough Neilto Yoga and soon to India in 1995 & 2005. The journeys to India and training with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta (2003) helped Neil connect more deeply with the heart or bhakti aspect of Yoga and day to day living.

Neil was initiated to Yoga Sironami under the spiritual name 'Ishwara' in 2003.

Ishwara continued training in various aspects of Yoga around the world such as Kriya, Pranayama and Meditation.

Ishwara is also a fully qualified practitioner of traditional Thai Yoga massage. He undertook training with Kira Baskalas (her teacher is Asokananda) founder of the 'London School of Thai Yoga Massage' in 2002/3.

Today Ishwara teaches classes and workshops across South lakeland from Barrow to Kendal.
